Gay marriage on center stage
San Fransisco has now started to issue marriage licenses to couples of the same sex. They are doing it in protest of the California law which only allows only couples of the opposed sex to marry. I don't know why this is only happening in San Fransisco. We need to get this going everywhere. I have called my local representatives, you should too. It's really easy, pick up your phone and call them. Tell them that you want to end the bigotry. Now is the time. We must take a stand for what is right, no matter how popular it is.
The right has been crying, "We're hearing from people throughout the country," says a hoarse Glenn Stanton, spokesman for Focus on the Family, a conservative group in Colorado Springs, Colo. "They don't know which to be more outraged at — the death of marriage or the death of democracy." What does that sound like? Oh yeah, the civil rights movement. It was very unpopular to not only free the slaves but also end discrimination. The right was using the same cries then. But now everyone seems to the left was right then. Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, these people were all leftists. But the right just assassinated us back then, now they pull character assassinations. Look at a great leader, Bill Clinton. He has been killed politically. (Sorry, thats another story.)
For a long time it was not legal to marry some one of a different race. But guess what, some radical leftist mayors steeped over state laws, and made it legal. Now that was crazy that we did not allow people of different races to marry, but back then people freaked out. And sure enough the used the bible as a shield for their bigotry. We have seen this before. The left turns out to be right every time.
"Fear leads to Anger. Anger leads to Hate. Hate leads to suffering."
What is so scary about this again?
Hey! Well, we got Bush and Blair on our side now!
